Q: Check engine light is on; would like to know what I'm dealing with before I go to dealership

asked by on January 10, 2017

Check engine light is on, message saying StabiliTrack & Traction Control need to be serviced, bucking while braking, burning rubber smell coming from under the hood, screeching sound while driving. I was told the last time I went to the dealership that I would need rear brakes and rotors replaced in the next 4,000 miles. I recently had to bring my car in for service due to a coolant leak; they said it was the thermostat and the water outlet was replaced according to the paperwork.

My car has 51000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
