Q: Car won't start. trying to find source of problem to fix

i was driving down the interstate and my car was being really sluggish for about 15 mins until its slowed too much to continue. after it stopped i shut it off and was unable to get it to start again. none of my service lights are on. i checked all fluids. the key does turn over it just won't start. i was thinking catalytic converter or fuel pump maybe. but I'm no expert for sure. any help would be great thanks!
