Q: Car will not stay above idle

asked by on February 11, 2018

The car started jolting a little bit as I pulled in to a parking lot and finally turned off. The car starts just fine but then turns itself off. I repeatedly tried to start it and if I keep revving the engine it will stay on and I was able to move it but then it shut off again after idling

My car has 121000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
