Q: Car will not start. Very possible I did a incorrect jump. Replaced battery still nothing
Yes so my car would not start yesterday. Had power enough to see lights on dash. Put key in and it clicked a couple times no start. Attempted to do a jump and I think I put the wrong cables to the wrong connectors on each battery. Mixing the blacks with reds. Can't quite remember but is a possibility. So this could be my fault. Nothing at this point. No power anywhere in car. No lights, nothing on dash, nothing. Got my neighbor to then try with his jump box and got nothing. Bought a new battery, hooked it up, nothing. So today tried again, nothing. Knocked on starter and alternator. Nothing. Tested battery with jumper cables got a spark. So Im stuck. Not sure if I fried it. Is it a switch? A fuse? Alternator or just done. Please let me know. Thank you
