Q: Car will not start.

asked by on December 20, 2016

I got in my car and it would not start. The radio, lights and windows was still working. I thought it was the battery so I bought a new one. When the battery was put in the car cranked up fine. A couple of days later while I was driving the car I noticed that when I let off the gas or when I would start to try to go faster there the car would jump. I only noticed that on longer drives. Not when going shorter distance. Then today when I got in my car it would not crank. It was doing the same thing again. Radio and all was working but would not crank. I had the battery checked and it was good. Could it be the alternator?
My car has an automatic transmission.
