Q: Car will cranks and grinds over as if it will start but it doesn't.

asked by on July 17, 2017

Hi there my Eclipse won't start. I've been trying to get it back on for a while now. I have replaced the battery, checked alternator, and put new spark plugs set. Also I checked the starter, fuel pump and it's fine, I have even replaced the crank and camshaft sensors as I was told that could be the issue.the timing and serpentine belt are okay, which turn over just fine dismissing a missing tooth or broken belt. However as last resource I checked the ECU, clean its ports and put it back on. Now the car gives me faint sparks when testing the plugs, which did not before. So I'm guessing the ECU is fine? I'm out of resources. At this point I'm clueless.

Low beams are quite dim, high beams seem OK. Although filaments turn on inversed.
