Q: Car was not showing correct speed on speedometer and now the car won't shift into any gear (manual)

The check engine light is on. Car was having the speedometer needle jumping around not posting any correct speed reading. And finally the car doesn't move in any gear including reverse.

My car has 247000 miles.
My car has a manual transmission.
