Q: Car stalled and would not accelerate.

asked by on

While driving home from work, my son's car stalled and wouldn't accelerate. This lasted for a few hours. After about three hours, he was able to drive it home.

The most common problems with this car is overheating issues. The failures have been cooling fan sensor, thermostat, water pump and fan motors. The problem would have to be verified and diagnosed to see what is causing the problem. I recommend that you have a technician, like one from YourMechanic, check it out for you.
