Q: Car overheating, no sign of leak

asked by on January 30, 2017

Car has been overheating and losing coolant through the reservoir. Yesterday I replaced the reservoir cap and the thermostat. It is still overheating today but not staying hot. Fans are working. I don't see any obvious signs of a leak. The coolant level was low when I last checked it, so I refilled it and then drove it around for about 20 minutes. That's when I noticed that the vehicle was still getting hot. I have not checked the coolant level yet, as I've been waiting for it to cool off
