Q: car overheating

asked by on

My car is overheating and i have a crack in the reservoir. Do i need to change my reservoir
My car has an automatic transmission.

If the reservoir is cracked you should replace the reservoir and cap. Once that is done, have the coolant changed. Use a 50/50 mixture of coolant and water. If you need help with this repair, consider YourMechanic, as a certified professional can come to you, replace your reservoir, and service your coolant at your own convenience.
