I purchased a car for my daughter about 3 weeks ago (just a little starter car) it ran fine when we test drove it. two days later it overheated and she parked it. the next day it wouldn't start. Finally we got it to start after having to pump the gas numerous of times and holding gas pedal to floor. after this the car started to blow white smoke out of exhaust and we have noticed that there is coolant mixing in the oil. Along with all this the coolant is bubbling over in the overflow coolant tank with a smell of gases. It bubbles even when the engine is cool and never actually starts. Now the car want start at all and it makes a popping almost backfiring noise under hood when you try to start it. could this be a blown head gasket or a intake manifold issue.
My car has 230000 miles.
