So last night my old battery completely died on me I had to get a jump a few times to make it home.(yes my fault for waiting so long) I got home a little late and started to take the old battery out all the components were horribly corroded on the negative terminal. I went to the store to get the most affordable battery I could find that would fit. My car uses 96R but I got a 24F. I left my car with no battery attached all night. When I tried to install it the next day I found out that the piece that clamps onto the battery terminal on the negative side ripped so I went back to the store and got a replacement but I had to shave the wire off and stick it into the new piece I got (that's what they told me to do at The auto shop) I thought this would fix it but nothing. I turn the key nothing happens literally the car is completely dead as if it had no battery at all. What should I do ?
-Is it the difference in battery size?
- The negative wire that conectsto the battery?
-3rd thing?
My car has an automatic transmission.
