Q: Car fails to start after driving a while and parked for a while 2000 Honda Accord

asked by on December 16, 2016

The issue usually occurs when I try to start the car after driving a while, e.g. coming back from groceries. Cold start is never an issue. Also, the issue occurs very randomly and hard to recreate. Initially, it would happen once in a couple of months and then the frequency increases. I had this issue worked with a YourMechanic technician back in March and he replaced the fuel pump relay. The issue appeared to have been resolved until last month when it occurred again. I had sent a warranty request to YourMechanic, and they had asked me to schedule an appointment. However, there is no Honda mechanic available in my area anymore. The technician who worked on this issue had left YourMechanic. Would you be able to help?

My car has 112355 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
