Q: Car died won't start

asked by on August 01, 2017

My car was chugging when I accelerated, battery light came on and stalled. It took a few tries to restart, it clicked then started. I felt the gas peddle and stalled. It started and slowly drove a few blocks home. I charged the battery, started and then died. In the past it needed a new battery and starter. Battery is under warrenty prorated at 90.00 with 3 mpre yrs. Dealer won't offer aftermarket parts, so to expensive if it needs repair. Should I buy a new battery with new warrenty to avoid towing in. Since I most likely can't afford any other repair? It does need a oxygen sensor as well. Curious if its a alternator, but lights were not dimming.it is a 4 cylinder??

My car has 13500 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
