Q: Car died while stopped in traffic. Couldn't restart. Towed to dealer. Told need new transmission.
My son bought above car 2 months ago with 47,500 km on it. While stopped in traffic it died and he couldn't restart it. It was towed to the local Chrysler dealer. They tell him that he needs a new transmission due to "Clutch and internal gear failure" It now has 51,988 km on it.
My question is what a new transmission and other required parts cost along with the labour cost for this repair.
