Q: Car deck

asked by on

There is an aftermarket deck in the vehicle already. If I get a new deck, do I need to buy another wiring harness?
My car has an automatic transmission.

Hi, thank you for writing in. I am assuming you are talking about the radio. When installing a new radio, it really depends on what brand/type of radio you will putting in. A lot of manufacturers will have a plug in the back that will require a plug that only works with their radio. Some do use a common type of plug, but most will require one specific to the brand.
