Q: Cannot figure out where misfire is coming from

I have a 98 ford expedition xlt 4.6 v8 4x4. Im getting a really rough idle on cold start up and when it warms up it still misfires but not as bad.. im also getting poor acceleration up hills and from a dead stop, seems to do better on pick up if you give it the gas gradually... The codes that im getting are a cylinder 7 misfire and a cylinder 8 misfire. And in the beginning got an egr excessive flow code but that one went away and has not come back... What ive done so far is changed the plugs and wires still says cylinder 7 and 8, i swapped the coils around to see if it would switch cylinders and it didnt still says 7 and 8 misfire. My theories are, i dont think its compression related because im not using any oil, and no noises out of the ordinary. If it was a fuel problem like a pump or filter, it should show up on more than a single cylinder like a p0300... random misfire could be an injector but i think its uncommon for 2 to go out at once
