Q: Can Your Mechanic replace ignition switches

asked by on June 20, 2017

The car will sometimes start fine and other times not start even though all accessories, lights, etc., will come on. The battery is new. I've had a Your Mechanic replace the starter which did not resolve the issue although the solenoid was bad. He also tested the relays and other electrical items associated with the ignition. I replaced the relay for the ignition kill switch, a part of the security system, but that didn't resolve the issue. It was recommended that I see a locksmith as the issue apparently points to the ignition switch. I'm hoping that this will fix the issue once and for all.

Thanks
