Q: Can you reset the oil life yourself or mechanic?

asked by on

Can you reset the oil life yourself wen change oil ?
My car has an automatic transmission.

Yes you can. Using the controls on the steering wheel you can access and reset the oil life to 100%. It takes several steps and you should have the steps in the owners manual. If you do not have an owners manual then you should seek out one from a friend that has the same year vehicle of search online for the directions to follow. If you cannot find directions then have a mechanic come and perform the reset for you so you can see the process and write them down. Here is a link to follow to get directions on web.
