Q: can I shut down the A/C electronoically

My A/C compressor is leaking and no cold air was blowing. ALso I dont want to fix it now due to lack of cash. Can I just pull off the fuse of the Ac to shut the compressor down so that it does not scatter the metals or whatever harm it can cause?
My car has an automatic transmission.

A: Yes on left side of engine compartment fuel...

Yes on left side of engine compartment fuel box you can take out the 10 amp air condition fuse and it will not send power to the A/C compressor only.
