Q: Can a car run on water?

asked by on

I was wondering--can a car really run on water?

You won’t see this on any car that you’d be driving daily. This is a myth that people came up with. Hydrogen cars can run on water, but the way they run on water is--they take the H2O and they break them apart with a process that gives hydrogen gas and the hydrogen gas is burned and the waste is water vapor. So, they technically can run on water but you can’t run a car on water without all of the complex reactions. The water doesn’t ignite itself.
