Q: Cabin air filter fell apart.

asked by on December 13, 2016

I was changing my cabin air filter and as I pulled out the old one, one of the side plastic pieces (to hold the filter in place) broke off and fell inside. I can't seem to find it, or reach far enough inside to retrieve it. Where does this hole lead and what kind of problems will this cause? Also the other side was also breaking off, what caused it to break while in the car?
