Q: Broken rod. Need to know if possible to find out if the broken bearing or bolt was the cause

asked by on August 17, 2017

I have a broken rod that went thru block. Warranty trying to not cover stating it was a broken rod bolt that caused the bearing to break. Bearing although would be covered. Question is is it possible to know the bolt caused the bearing to break or the other way around or is this an assumption.
My car has an automatic transmission.
