Q: Broken gearshift lever

asked by on

The gearshift lever is broken.

The gear shift lever on the 745Li is a complete electronic unit that is mounted on the steering wheel. If the paddle is broken, then the whole unit must be replaced. Removal of the air bag is required for this, so special precautions must be taken. This repair should be performed by a qualified mechanic in order to ensure that this issue is safely taken care of.
