Q: Both pressures on ac system show high

asked by on July 18, 2017

Hi, my name is jp and I am currently recharging my acsystem after letting it sit at 30 inhg for an hour and I was about 20 oz in to filling the system and I noticed that my manifold gauge was getting frosted and the ac lines on the van were very hot. My pressures were at 50 psi on the low side and 300 on the high side with the gauge fluttering which I have never seen before. I replaced the expansion valve, evaporator and condenser a year ago and the compressor about 4 years ago. Any ideas on what it might be?My system takes 2.97 lbs combined for the front and rear so I was within specs so I have pretty much run out of ideas on what that might mean.Thank you very much for your time, hope to hear from you soon.

My car has 175000 miles.
