Q: blower for heat and air

asked by on

it stays on when the car is off

My car has 200000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

This is caused by a shorted blower resistor. Replace the resistor and it should fix the problem you’re having. The resistor is next to the blower motor, located under right side of the dash. If you need some help with the job, have a certified technician, like one from YourMechanic, replace your heater blower resistor and address any other issues that are present. Good luck.
