I got into an accident earlier this month and it destroyed the front clip of my truck. I've since repaired everything. Welded the tie bar to the core support, new radiator, condenser, trans cooler etc. I have it all back together ready to go and for some reason it has managed to shred 3 belts in less than a week. Today I replaced the fan clutch due to wobbling that I noticed when replacing the belt. All of my pulleys seem to work fine. The ac clutch isn't locked up. I even drained and filled the ps pump. I put a gates belt on not even an hour ago, fired up and drove 2 miles came back and it was starting to shred the belt. It is cutting in the outer groove like one of the pulleys is razor sharp or something. Idler and tension pulleys have no play in them. Tensioner has spring. Can a water pump pulley shaft bend? Ps pulley has some axial play, but no side to side play. I've tried the bypass belt and the normal belt. They have both shredded off.
My car has 159000 miles.
