Q: Battery or starter?

asked by on January 06, 2017

Yesterday I went to go start my 2008 hyundai accent and it wouldn't turn over even after trying to boost it, when opening the door the light still turned on, but it just won't start. Should I try changing the battery after I make sure all the connections are connected right on the one I have now? Or is it most likely the starter? Totalled our MGM on black ice yesterday and plated this one and now it won't start :(

My car has 140000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
