Q: Battery Light/Running High Cooling Fan

asked by on March 05, 2018

I have a 2006 Land Rover Sport HSE. I recently had a local shop perform the NC Vehicle Imspection On it. Ever since the inspection my battery light has been on and my coolant fan runs abnormally high. I’m not sure if that was just couincidence or not. I had my battery and alternator tested and they both tested fine. I have been able to find a few resources on the internet that says this is a common problem for my model LR. From what I’ve read, the problem could be the battery, or the alternator, or the cooling fan, or a malfunctioned sensor between them. I’d rather not have to replace them all and incur the cost to find out the cause. I have copied a link to one of the forums that almost describes what I’m experiencing perfectly. If you would; please, take a look at it and let me know if you are familiar with this problem and it is something you can easily fix.

How do I jump start the battery in a 2012 Honda Accord?
If the battery in your Accord is dead, you’ll need a jump to get running once more (and then you’ll probably want to get the battery replaced, or at least have the charging system checked). To jump your battery, follow...

If you replaced all those parts and it still is overheating then you have a radiator that is clogged (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/symptoms-of-a-bad-or-failing-radiator) and/or the fan is not working (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/symptoms-of-a-bad-or-failing-cooling-radiator-fan-motor). Hi there. That is a very interesting situation you have with your BMW. To be honest, I've never seen tire valve stems cause any type of noise; especially under the conditions you're describing. It is possible that you may have...

Based on data from the Kelly Blue Book database of used car transactions, if the car were in good condition (which it isn't , obviously), it's worth about $2,000. Given the number, and extent, of required repairs, $2,000 would be...
Hi, my Toyota fortuner 2010 is vibrating soon after reaching speed of 100km/h. Secondly, it is also when idle with start engine.
Shaking or vibration (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/engine-is-shaking-pulsating-or-vibrating-inspection) may be caused by many different things such as faulty spark plugs, poor fuel pressure or misfires.
