Q: Batteries at 13v go dead after trying to start it

The batteries are reading 13 volts hard start it sounds like they don't have enough voltage in them to start the truck then after I try and start it they read 8 volts

My car has 130000 miles.

You need to have the battery charged and load tested. A battery may hold 13 volts and as soon as a load is put on it drop below 9 volts when they are bad.
