Q: Bad alternator drained battery

asked by on

The battery light came on while I was driving, then all of the dash lights came on, and then the Jeep died. I suspect the alternator failed causing a battery drain.

It is possible that your alternator has failed. This is not an uncommon cause for your concern. Have you looked under your hood to make sure that the serpentine belt did not break? I would ask for help from one of the mechanics at your mechanic to come to you and repair your vehicle, starting with a diagnosis of the Battery Light.
