Q: Automatic Light switch refuses to dim lights although I replaced it with new unit
My automatic light switch refuses to operate and allow me to dim the lights anytime. I replaced the switch with a new unit however the problem persists. Useful to dim the lights when I approach my driveway,the base guards, and the drive-in movie theater. GMC Sierra 1500 Denali with Quadrasteer. All other electrical works perfectly. Replacing all exterior bulbs with new LEDs (the problem existed before this so I have replaced the dead bulbs with new LEDs). This is the same type of switch unit in my 2004 Yuknon Denali and common in this era GM vehicles. The wiring appeared to be non-tampered with when I removed the switch during replacement. I'm looking for a reasonable price "for certain" mechanic and not just a guesser. Ken 310-643-9244 home number.
