Q: Auto locking seatbelts

asked by on

Is there anyway to disable the automatic locking seatbelt function in the rear seats? I am tired of leaning forward and locking the seatbelt and having to unbuckle to disengage it.

My car has 24000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Hi there. Unfortunately, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has established laws against tampering with seat belts or other safety devices. That means that this lock function can’t be modified.
