Q: Stalling

asked by on October 07, 2017

As I was driving my car and I pulled into my apt complex the car suddenly stopped and the battery and engine oil light came on. Then I turned it off and started it back up and it came on fine and the lights were off so I'm trying to figure out what the problem could be?

My car has 67429 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Car audio is not working
Hi, other owners have had similar issues with their audio. On closer inspection, the amplifier had usually blown out and needed to be replaced. I would recommend taking this to the dealership as it may be covered by warranty.
Rough idle, missing, almost dies when in gear, shaking violently when driving in low speeds
Hi, thanks for writing in. I'd be happy to provide my insight. I recommend you have the engine checked for vacuum leaks, or and check if carbon is clogging the EGR valve (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/symptoms-of-a-bad-or-failing-exhaust-gas-recirculation-egr-valve). If you still cannot find the reason...

Hello - there may be a problem with your idle air control valve (.https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/symptoms-of-a-bad-or-failing-idle-control-valve). Its job is to bump up engine idle when there is an additional load on the engine, such as the AC compressor. Other possibilities include a...
Car just spins over but wont crank 1999 BMW 323i
Hello - your failure scenario description suggests a blown headgasket, especially with a history of overheating (https://www.yourmechanic.com/question/overheating-problem-with-my-car). Bluish white smoke during smog, did not pass. Does stop smoke fix the problem?

replacing shift solenoid and wiring harness camry
There are several shift solenoids in your vehicle's transmission so if there is a faulty one, such will have to first be determined with a diagnostic. Why would my Nissan Maxima make loud humming noise when I accelerate up 55mph but noise stops or gets softer at 60mph.
It sounds like you may also need to change the right front bearing as well. Bearing damage usually happens slowly over the course of days or weeks or maybe even months. You may notice the noise getting louder and louder...
Spark plugs/Coil plugs wont spark and car will no longer start because of this.
The mention of the camshaft position code and the car's mileage make me think of a timing belt problem. If you can see the camshaft you might want to check and see if it is turning while the car...
