I've had this car for 3yrs,always take it to the same shop, have had alignments with no problems. On my last oil change, I paid extra to get the "lifetime alignment" deal where I pay extra up front and get "free" alignments as long as I own this car. I just went in for another oil change and alignment. The guy said he couldn't do a rear alignment because Toe Control Links were missing and would cost $260 to put new ones on, then offered up information saying that GMC is known for not putting Toe Control Links on their vehicles to save money. I asked "If that is the issue, then how were you people able align in the past?". He said "Maybe your car did have them and they fell off." On the courtesy check list, in the notes it says "rear toe cam" then it either says "needed" or "removed" (writing is sloppy). My questions are: Does GMC really not put toe links on vehicles to save money? Can toe links just fall off? Am I being lied to?
