Q: Airbag light on

asked by on

The airbag light is on.

Hi. If your airbag light has come on, that means there is a problem with the airbag system. Normally, the vehicle remains completely drivable, however, in the case of a collision, the airbags may not deploy or deploy incorrectly. As this could be a potential safety concern, I would recommend having the vehicle’s computer scanned for trouble codes by a professional technician, such as one from YourMechanic, to determine the exact cause of the problem.
