Q: After changing the steering column, I cannot get the truck to stay running.

asked by on December 22, 2016

Good Morning? I replaced the steering column in my chevy. i attempted to use the key that came with the column and key that one in, with no luck the truck would crank but not stay running. So i installed the original lock cylinder into the replacement column and have tried the key procedure again with no luck.

Is there a way to bypass the theft system. I am trying to avoid hefty towing and mechanic fees this close to the holidays. Thanks.

My car has 185000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
