Q: Acura TSX 2005 "stuck" while driving

asked by on May 31, 2017

While driving( doesn t matter what speed) the transmission seems to get "stuck" in that gear and instead of maintaining the same speed or speeding up, it pulls back alittle. Kind of like I m stepping on the brakes but you can feel it in the engine. It s alittle hard to describe. Not even sure if it's in the transmission. This goes away if I press on the gas.

The car Does have a tear in the air intake, if that has anything to do with it.

It s an Acura TSX 05. Has roughly 147,000 miles. Semi Automatic transmission (automatic but has option to be driven in manual)

Possible causes? Trans fluid is not low or burnt.

My car has 148000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
