Q: AC bearing issue

asked by on March 04, 2017

I had an oil change this past Wednesday - filters replaced, fluids topped off etc. I was told there may be a problem with the AC bearing. I drove my JEEP to school and on the way back home I noticed a smell and there was smoke coming from the part of the engine connected to the serpentine belt. There was some fluid leaking from the center of this same part. Is this an easy fix? What does it entail? Do you recommend ordering the part then taking to a reputable mechanic? Also, what exactly is the name of the part that I need to order? Do you recommend any good web sites? Thanks in advance for your help!
