Q: A shop in another state replaced leaking gas tank from a junkyard and it cost me $800. I'm still having issues.

asked by on February 02, 2017

When I first had an issue with gas I was pumping gas and it was coming out underneath the car so I drove it to a shop CTR Service in Janesville, WI I had been driving to Illinois from Minnesota. When they looked at it they said the gas tank had a leak on the inside seal n that they were going to check junkyards for one it took 3 days and cost $800.00 plus they said I was missing a strap n as I drove the fuel tank sensor was broken. I called back to tell them about the gas gauge they told me to drive back I did 2 1/2 hrs n they dropped the tank n said they didn't fix what wasn't broken n said that it was working they put $5 bucks into it still missing a strap. As I drove back to Illinois the gauge didn't move from 1/4 tank n car has smelled like gasoline since they dropped it second time now it's literally leaking dripping gas n I am not driving it.

My car has 134608 miles.
