Master cylinder going bad
The master cylinder may be going bad if you notice the pedal going down to the floor with no signs of any brake fluid leakage, or if the master cylinder is leaking fluid from the back of it into the...
Car jerks after taking foot off gas
I'm not sure about the "plastic bag noise". The jerking upon deceleration could have something to do with the transmission not downshifting properly; this could be due to internal transmission mechanical problems, or a problem with the electronic transmission controls....
Loud grinding and thumping
Hello. It is possible that your axle (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/axle-cv-shaft-assembly-replacement) is worn out, but it is unusual for an axle to grind. What is more likely is that the right front caliper (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/brake-caliper-replacement) is locking up, or that a wheel bearing (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/wheel-bearings-replacement)...

I have water in my engine oil, is the engine okay?
There's no good spin I can put on this. It's very likely that you've done some damage to your engine. The oil circulation is pretty high, so it's almost certain that the water was stirred up into the oil and...
Was in a rear-end collision that affected my brakes. Mechanic says master cylinder is the issue. Could this be do to the wreck
To determine if crash forces led to master cylinder failure you would have to determine exactly "what" failed within the master cylinder. If the master cylinder bore is scored or worn, for example, thus causing significant output pressure loss, that...
