Q: A few things I'm not sure are connected.

My truck has 170000 miles on it. Ever since I've got it the truck has smoked at startup. It seems to have gotten worse. Now I can't hold oil pressure even when it's full. The pressure seems to rise and sink with the rpms. It also idles funny. It has a slight rhythmic rumble/shake. Also there is a fast rhythmic ticking noise that seems to come from behind my front driver side wheel. I'm not sure that these issues are connected. I'm not sure of anything. Please tell me what to do. I can't afford to keep adding oil all the time. BTW the truck has no external oil leaks so it's not that
