Q: 99 eclipse manual trans key stuck in ACC

My key will not turn counterclockwise to the lock/off position but will however turn on and start the car and the key will not come out..I did just replace the steering column and put a new battery in it everything else is untouched by me any suggestions on how to return the key to the lock position and remove my key?

My car has 170000 miles.
