Q: 97 Cadillac DeVille theft system

Theft system

My car has 1600 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

If the engine immobilizer system (security system) is causing problems, for example preventing the car from starting, you may see a security warning light. If the warning light is on, to temporarily override the immobilizer system, see these instructions. If the issue relates to an immobilizer malfunction though and you can still start the car, to get the immobilizer (theft system) malfunction resolved, please request an electrical component/circuit diagnostic. Please let us know if you have further concerns or questions as we are always here to help you.
