Q: 97 4.6 t-bird, 287,000 miles runs great Ithought, 02 sensor causing rich condition etc
this 97 v 8 bird was maintained pretty well and mostly driven on the highway, alot!!! It had a switched pair of plug wires, # 2 & 8 after that was discovered I figured the computer would eliminate the code it kicked out about # 8 misfiring. After the switch it is surprising how well it does run and great fuel mileage. Other than a rattling converter under the car it could'nt be a smoother and quiet car. Why 9 codes? will disconnecting the battery for a few make the codes go away? Thanks
