90 Miata cranks, wont start after replacing belt and increasing tension.battery terminals are less than ideal. what should I do?

I bought a 90 miata about a month ago and have been driving it around town happily,ever since ive owned it its had this peculiar noise when I was taking off,I struck it up to poor clutch control but now ive been driving stick for a while and can smoothly take off..the noise persisted. earlier in the week when I cranked my car to drive home from work the sound gets really loud...I figured id change it on my off days...Except this time I noticed something different. My coolant level was at 11/10:30 instead of 12 as per usual and my oil pressure was a bit lower...then my charge light flickered on and off.the battery is new and the alternator doesnt really make noise.i cranked it today and it was fine before the belt replacement,post belt replacement the car cranks then dies.

My car has 130000 miles.
