Q: 2013 Civic SI vs 2006 Civic Si

asked by on March 27, 2017

I was wondering the main noticable differences between the 06 and the 13 Si aside from appearance. I previously had an 06 Si with 165k miles. It was old and I'm pretty sure the previous owners had really gone in on it and abused it a good bit. Regardless, I loved the car and wanted to know if the 13, being that it's newer, was any slower or how it compares to the 06-07 performance wise. I was also curious if the the 13 was the same as far as being able to modify it and if there was a good range of after market parts. I'm really mainly concerned about speed and performance since I already know civics are quality and will last a while. Thank you!

My car has 16000 miles.

Heat inside car stays warm for minute then blows cold until I turn heat off for a minute and try again.
Hi there. The engine always at operating temperature leads me to believe, the thermostat is not the cause, for no heat inside the vehicle. Putting water in radiator but keeps spitting out as im filling it
It is possible that the reason for the overheating is not related to the radiator being low on water. Overheating can be caused by a number of things such as low coolant levels, a faulty thermostat (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/thermostat-replacement), a clogged radiator...
