Q: 2006 Cadillac CTS, passenger side wheel hot and brakes feel more loose. Just had new pads and rotors 5 months ago. 40mi drive/day.

Hi! I have a 2006 Cadillac CTS with 60k miles. It is driven aproximately 40 miles per day in light city traffic. Today, while on the way home, about a block away from my house, I noticed a little vibration. It was intermittent and not very pronounced. After parking at home and getting ready to go in the house, I noticed a lot of heat and “hot smell” coming from the passenger side wheel with a tiny bit of white smoke. I just had new rotors and pads in August 2017 (5 months ago), and am wondering what is the issue. Also, when I got back in the car to drive around the block with my dad to see if we heard any noises or felt anything, I noticed that the brake suddenly felt “loose” and needed to be pressed down further to stop. I don’t “ride” my brakes, as someone had asked me, and my previous brake job had lasted several years, so I know I’m not “bad on brakes”. Please, what could be the problem? It’s really scary! Thank you!

My car has 60000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
