Q: 2005 dodge ram 4.7

asked by on May 19, 2017

Swapped my blown overheated engine that had vin an egr valve with one I purchased used that does not have egr valve. Cranks, but wont start. Getting spark, fuel, starter is engaging, replaced crank and cam sensor, have voltage to cam and crank sensor, 5.0 volts. Trusted scan tool shows crank/cam sensor codes. Cleared codes, tried to start, no go, codes came back. Removed crank sensor on both engines and counted 16 teeth on gears. I have the pcm with 4 connectors, using same engine harness for used engine I bought did not have one with it. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
