Q: 2004 dodge 1500 hemi. Yesterday it started acting like an unhealthy carburated motor.

asked by on October 24, 2017

Yesterday my truck started acting like an unhealthy carburated motor. I constantly have to keep my foot on the accelerator in order to keep it running. This motor has never seen dirty oil and has never been hot. I don't hear any internal noise (clicking, pinging, ect). It simply won't run below 1500 rpm. AutoZone pulled 3 codes. P0300(multiple cylinder misfire), P0153 (O2 B2 S1), and P2097(downstream fuel system 1/2 rich). It acts like the timing is off several degrees on a distributor type motor. I replaced the cam positioning sensor today, but it made no difference. It shakes like it has a dead cylinder at low rpm, but runs strong as ever above 1500 rpm.

My truck has 180000 miles.
My truch has an automatic transmission.
